About Me
Asking for help can be hard. Really hard. And if there’s anything I’ve learned in life, it’s that we need support from other people. Especially when we experience really low times. People who truly listen, validate, challenge us, and who want us to see the joy in even the hardest of times. And I hope to be one of those people for you.
I care about people, and I care about them deeply. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to go for a walk in my neighborhood, meet a neighbor, and listen to them tell me their whole life story. And when you’re in my office, my focus is on you. I want to hear about your story – the exciting times, the really difficult times, and everything in between. We will collaboratively create achievable goals while exploring realistic ways to reach them.
I use a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, depending on what’s the most appropriate for each client. I practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, have a trauma-informed lense, and especially love using a family systems approach when working with families.
Outside of my time at Blue Boat, you can find me spending time with my husband and two kids exploring places around Columbus, reading, drinking coffee, or spending time with my people that bring me joy.
