About Me

Be seen. Be heard. Be Believed. Be YOU.
Clients find that my approach to therapy is empathetic, collaborative, strength based, and trauma informed. I am committed to providing a safe, non judgemental environment and aim to provide each client with the space to truly be seen, heard and believed. I strive to build trusting relationships that strengthen the resiliency, improves boundaries and increases coping skills for each individual client.

I utilize my education, professional experience and my lived experience as a queer individual to guide my practice. I believe my experiences allow me to have a unique ability to empathize with individuals who do not fall within the “norms” of families, cultures or societies. I believe we are much more than our trauma, our diagnosis, or our BMI. When it comes to mental health, one size does not fit all. I work hard to create a strong therapeutic relationship as I believe this is one of the most important aspects of therapy and is crucial to achieving desired outcomes.

I have worked in a professional capacity in a variety of areas of the mental health field ranging from individuals, community-based organizations, private inpatient facilities and government entities. With over 10 years of experience, my skills have served diverse and intersectional populations including: elderly individuals, caregivers, individuals in crisis, BIPOC, refugees, and queer individuals (LGBTQIA2S+).

I enjoy spending down time in my backyard with my vegetable garden, koi pond and pets. I enjoy spending time with nature and my close friends. Other hobbies include hiking, binging a good tv show, and traveling. I value working on and nurturing my own mental health so that I can continue my own healing journey which allows me to be present and helpful as a therapist.
